Candidates who have completed Post Graduation in respective subjects are eligible to appear for this exam. They are required to secure at least 55 % marks in aggregate in the qualifying master’s degree. Aspirants belonging to reserved categories as well as who are physically challenged can avail 5 % marks relaxation as per the norms of the University. Those who are in final year of study, awaiting results can also apply for this exam. Such candidates will have to submit their final year exam result at the time of admission.
Exam Pattern of RMLAU Ph.D Common Entrance Test
The exam comprises of two papers. Candidates can expect multiple choice objective type questions. Paper 1 will contain 100 questions. Time allotted to answer these questions is 2 hours. Each question carries one mark. There will be questions to evaluate candidates’ research aptitude and general awareness. Paper 2 will contain 200 objective type questions. Questions will be asked to measure candidates’ subject knowledge. Total marks allotted for this section is 200. Candidates will be provided a maximum of 3 hours to answer all these questions.
